February 2004: Research and development collaboration between Hydro and ffA
ffA and Norsk Hydro have entered into a research and development collaboration to create
a world leading seismic volume interpretation tool for exclusive use by Hydro based on
ffA’s state of the art 3D Image Processing and Analysis technology."
The new tool will build on, and significantly extend, the capabilities for rapid and
objective recognition of geological elements in seismic data that are already available
in SEA 3D, ffA’s best in class volume interpretation package.
The collaboration will investigate and develop innovative concepts for attribute
generation, attribute analysis and visualisation to deliver 3D seismic interpretation
capability conferring powerful competitive advantage.

DipAzi volumes provide a rapid understanding of the local & regional structure of the subsurface.
